AccessibilityXPLOR Design Competition is a user centered and accessibility focused project. My team and I were tasked in creating a bank statement that was accessible to a multiude of different people. We focused in on color blindness and braile options.
This project was a long process of trial and error working with different mailing guidelines and also taking design layout into consideration.
Our team of 5 first year students placed 2nd at the Cal Poly level, and was invited to attend the XPLOR conference September 2024.

Alexandra Castro is an 18 year old born and raised in the Bay Area. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science at Califonia Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, majoring in Graphic Communication and minoring in Gender, Race, Culture, Science and Technology. Alexandra has a strong passion for design and print science.
In her free time she listens to music, enjoys cooking vegetarian food, and learning about design history.
